Taoist Acu-points for Health and Longevity

Acupuncture diagram showing
the points along the Spleen channel.
The function of the Spleen is to transform food into
nutrients as a source for Qi and blood.

The ancient Chinese saw the human body as a system of interconnected energy flows and channels. When these flows become blocked or obstructed stagnation occurs in the body and organ functions are impaired. Glands, organs and bodily functions become sluggish or otherwise imbalanced. When this happens there is a general feeling of being run down with low enregy and poor circulation that can result in pain, fatigue or illness.

The series of points used in this healing system help to restore balance and well being to vital bodily functions and systems when correctly stimulated.

Used regularly this healing modality can help to neutralize imbalances, reduce or eliminate pain, upgrade the immune system, increase mental acuity, enhance regenerative potency and increase available energy throughout the human body.

To activate the energy of a selected point in a series, press the finger tip or acu-pointer onto the surface of the skin until a strong sensation is felt. Notice how the energy and contact at each point feels and remain aware throughout the stimulation time. If you feel a slight burning sensation at the location, that is a good sign energy is moving. Hold each point for about 10 to 30 seconds and release. Then pause and relax before returning to normal activity.

Correct breathing technique: It is important to breathe correctly during the process of point stimulation. With all Qi work breathing from the belly is best for good energy flow. Bring the breath up from the belly filling the lungs then exhaling fully. Allow the belly to move in and out the way a baby breathes;  breathing deeply with the sensations make them a part of your awareness with body and mind in a relaxed and receptive state, remembering not to contract any part of the body.

For greatest effect and benefit stimulate the points with full awareness of all sensations allowing them to be fully felt. Breathe naturally from the belly in a relaxed state of non-resistance and total self- acceptance. As a rule the points that are lower in the body should be stimulated first moving upward in the series.
