  The photographs in this collection entitled, Sacred Books, were taken from volumes that were borrowed from the Asian Library at UC Berkeley in 2001. Many are from the Tao Te Ching written in Chinese. Others are books from the Hindu tradition and still others are double exposed photographs of sacred texts mixed with Buddha or Bodhisatva figures. flower petals, bamboo leaves, malas or blossoms.
