Ecstatic Breath Practices for Spiritual Expansion and Freedom of Being

Two-three Ecstasy Breathing: Sitting in easy pose, breathe through the mouth. Inhale in two short breaths and exhale in one breath. Then inhale in three breaths and exhale in one. Repeat 30 times all through the mouth. After 30 or so breaths take a deeper breath and hold for 10 seconds. Relax the breath, breathing normally and repeat once or twice more. Cleanses the aura, loosens constraints and frees energy.

No pause breathing: Breathe from the belly inhaling deeply. Without pausing exhale the breath. No pause and inhale. No pause and exhale. Keep this rhythm for up to 10 minutes. This practice enhances awareness and frees energy.

Ecstatic Cobra Breathing: Laying on your belly take 10 deep breaths. Push up into the cobra pose and hold the breath in. Extend the tongue, roll the eyes upward, lift the head and push deeper into the pose. After suspending the breath take a sip of air and release it. Repeat up to 5 times in one session.

Sitting Turtle Breath: Lay on your back with knees bent and feet on the floor. From this position cross your legs, take several deep breaths. Grasp your feet or ankles and pull your chest forward. Bring your legs toward your head and your head toward your legs. Hold the breath in for 10 counts, take a sip of air and release. Repeat 5 times. Frees the kundalini and awakens self-awareness.

The Squatting Frog: Legs are crossed in easy sitting position. Hands palm down on thighs. Take several deep breaths and push down firmly on the thighs; lift the diaphragm and hold the breah in. Tighten the anal spincter muscle, roll the eyes up and extend the tongue. Frees kundalini energy, stimulates glands in the brain.

Looking Beyond: Sitting in a chair or in easy pose, take several deep breaths and let the head fall back so that you are looking up and back. Stretch the neck upward and blink the eyes 30 times. Hold the breath in. Clinch the fists and contract the toes downward. Roll the eyes up, pull the anus and diaphram upward with the eyes. Hold for the count of 5 then release. Coaxes the kundalini upward through the centers. Stimulates the glands in the brain. Repeat often.

Sucker fish breath: Sitting in easy pose, focus and breathe from the belly for a few moments. Now begin to breathe with pursed lips as if through a straw like the sucker fish. Visualize and feel the breath coming up from the belly through the central channel. Roll the eyes up; tighten the anal muscles and pull the belly in. Floods the brain with energy.
